Gregg Perry is the lead decorative arts, wood restoration/metallurgy professor and the National Watch & Clock Museum School in Columbia, PA.

Gilding

Gregg Perry studied gilding from Masters in Venice, Florence, Italy and Paris, France for over a year. He performs all gilding work by hand, including grinding of clays, production of gesso and application of the finest gold leaf. His studio provides superior craftsmanship in this genre whether it be a traditional English rococo looking glass or a Louis XIII giltwood fauteuil.

  • Consolidation of flaking gesso surfaces 
  • Traditional water gilding using 23 carat gold leaf
